RIAA Oldies On People Like Us' "Radio Boredcast"

"Radio Boredcast is a 744-hour online radio project, curated by Vicki Bennett (People Like Us) with AV Festival 12."

Vicki asked me if I would like to be one of the many who contributed mixes to this mammoth project, e.g.: Carl Stone, Chris & Cosey, Tim Maloney, Ergo Phizmiz, Matmos, Dave Soldier, Don Joyce of Negativland, David Toop, Jared Blum and GiganteSound, Felix Kubin, The Long Now Foundation (w/Brian Eno), DJ/rupture, and Lloyd Dunn of the Tape-Beatles. Alas, I had to turn her down (I'm still retired until I get my new studio set up), but she graciously included a few RIAA faves in her mixes.

Needless to say, it's a stupendous project, chock full of fantastic audio goodness.  You'll never say "There's nothing to listen to" again.

DO OR DIY WITH PEOPLE LIKE US: SPRING EQUINOX SHOW – INCREDIBLE SPRING BANDS - features RIAA's "It's Like That Summer Samba" (Run-DMC goes to Brasil)

PLU's "Collarge" is a 6-hour history of sound collage mix that she made to accompany the new book Creative License: The Law and Culture of Digital Sampling.

People Like Us: Collarge Part 1 - features RIAA's "Knowing When To Put Down The Guns" (Burt Bacharach goes hip-hop)

People Like Us: Collarge Part 3 - features RIAA's "Setting Sail" (Enya vs The Chemical Brothers)

(Thanks, Vicki!)
