“Guess I’m Falling Into Bubbles”: The Video

“Guess I’m Falling Into Bubbles” was a RIAA mashup I made a few years ago that has beeen one of my more unexpected "hits." Who'd have thunk that mixing a U.S. Army Airborne marching cadence version of Don Ho’s Hawaiian lounge classic “Tiny Bubbles” with an instrumental version of The Velvet Underground’s “Guess I’m Falling in Love” + sound fx would prove to be so popular (at least in the rareified world of internet mashups)? It has popped up again, this time on Richard Metzger's "Dangerous Minds" blog, accompanied by a groovy psychedelic video by Marc Campbell. Thank you Mr Campbell, you did a great job on this one, love it.  But with gyrating '60s go-go dancers abounding, what's not to love?

The song can be downloaded HERE.

Oh, and I'm pretty psyched to find out that Campbell was the guy in the New Wave band The Nails.  I quite liked their classic tune "88 Lines About 44 Women" way back when.
