Vicki asked me if I would like to be one of the many who contributed mixes to this mammoth project, e.g.: Carl Stone, Chris & Cosey, Tim Maloney, Ergo Phizmiz, Matmos, Dave Soldier, Don Joyce of Negativland, David Toop, Jared Blum and GiganteSound, Felix Kubin, The Long Now Foundation (w/Brian Eno), DJ/rupture, and Lloyd Dunn of the Tape-Beatles. Alas, I had to turn her down (I'm still retired until I get my new studio set up), but she graciously included a few RIAA faves in her mixes.
Needless to say, it's a stupendous project, chock full of fantastic audio goodness. You'll never say "There's nothing to listen to" again.

PLU's "Collarge" is a 6-hour history of sound collage mix that she made to accompany the new book Creative License: The Law and Culture of Digital Sampling.
People Like Us: Collarge Part 1 - features RIAA's "Knowing When To Put Down The Guns" (Burt Bacharach goes hip-hop)
People Like Us: Collarge Part 3 - features RIAA's "Setting Sail" (Enya vs The Chemical Brothers)
(Thanks, Vicki!)
